From 1953 to 1987, Marines, families, civilian workers, and others who lived or worked at Camp Lejeune were exposed to contaminated water that has been linked to serious health conditions. Many of these conditions are recognized as presumptive for healthcare consideration, including multiple cancers, blood disorders, reproductive health issues, neurobehavioral effects, renal toxicity, and other long-term illnesses.
Camp Lejeune toxic water survivors deserve awareness, support, answers, and access to the care and benefits they may qualify for. They served, sacrificed, lived, worked, and raised families there, and their health concerns should not be forgotten.
